When you make your wedding reception arrangements with us, your day will include the following items as standard

The perfect wedding is the result of careful organisation and detailed planning. To ensure your day runs smoothly, the team at Eight Acres will guide you through the planning process and will be with you on the day until your last guest leaves.

We have a variety of suites available. The Sherwood and Westray Suites have their own private entrance, bar and cloakroom.

Guest room rates

There are a variety of bedroom types to choose from, and which we are delighted to offer your wedding guests at a preferential rate. We can hold up to 10 double or twin rooms for £52.50 per person including breakfast (based on two people sharing).

Wedding co-ordinator

You will work with a member of the events team at Eight Acres during your planning stages. The co-ordinator will be on hand to assist you with any advice you may require and the wedding host will look after you on the day itself.


We would be delighted to host your ceremony in addition to your reception, so that you can keep everything under one roof and concentrate on those special vows! If your ceremony is a small intimate affair or a large gathering of family and friends, our variety of suites are sure to suit your needs.

We have a variety of suites available, all are licenced to hold religious and humanist weddings. The Sherwood and Westray Suites also have their own private entrance, bar and cloakroom.


Day guest menus

We pride ourselves on our delicious food and use of local Scottish produce. Whether you are looking for a grand banquet or more informal finger food, we use the finest ingredients and provide options to suit a variety of tastes.

Our wedding menus are flexible and interchangeable in order to meet your individual needs with a range of drinks packages to accompany them. Our head chef and his kitchen brigade will be delighted to work with you to bring you and your guests the very best seasonal food and flavours.

Evening buffet menus

The menus are chosen by our Head Chef. We invite you to create your own menu and we will cost this accordingly. Please note: we cater for the full number of guests attending the evening reception.

Eight Acres Hotel & Leisure Club have built up a good relationship with associate suppliers for all aspects of your day. These suppliers range from wedding cakes to wedding cars, hair and beauty experts to Highland pipers and all offer preferential rates to couple’s holding their wedding at Eight Acres.

Special Offer – £2500 for 2019

Let us take care of everything with the extra special all-inclusive option for weddings:

  • Three course set menu including coffee
  • Ceremony room hire
  • Reception room dressed including chair covers and table centre piece
  • Top table floral display and runner
  • Glass of Prosecco on arrival and for the toast, and a glass of specially selected wine with meal
  • Evening reception including sandwiches and sausage rolls

Our 2019 packages and additional add-on options are based on 50 guests attending the wedding meal and evening reception. Guests above 50 people are charged at £60 per person and £10 per person for evening guests.
